HBCU Marketing Intern
- Assist in the development and execution of digital marketing campaigns, including social media, email, and paid media initiatives.
- Create, schedule, and manage engaging social media content across multiple platforms, maintaining a consistent brand voice and visual identity.
- Develop and execute email marketing campaigns, including copywriting, design coordination, audience segmentation, and performance tracking.
- Coordinate with agency partners to execute digital marketing campaigns, manage media buys, and facilitate public relations efforts.
- Support website updates and content management, ensuring optimal user experience and conversion.
- Assist with the creation of brochures, flyers, and other print collateral to support sales, memberships, and branding efforts.
- Monitor, track, and analyze marketing performance metrics, providing actionable insights to improve future campaigns.
- Collaborate with the team to produce compelling blog articles, video scripts, social media graphics, and promotional content.
- Assist in event marketing and promotions, supporting on-site activations and engagement strategies.
- Work with graphic designers and creative teams to ensure timely delivery of marketing assets.
- Undertake additional marketing projects and initiatives as needed.
Qualifications & Skills:

- Highly organized and strong attention to detail.
- Strong logical and problem-solving skills, with excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and programs simultaneously in a fast-paced environment while effectively prioritizing and meeting deadlines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.); familiarity with digital marketing tools, content creation software, or analytics platforms is a plus.
- Understands the importance of meeting internal and external deadlines and can adapt to changing priorities.
- General knowledge and enthusiasm for football and the sports industry.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.
- Applicants must be currently enrolled in a bachelor’s, master’s, or professional-level program at an accredited Historically Black College or University (HBCU) and pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Sports Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 3.0 GPA required.
- Must have reliable transportation to and from the College Football Hall of Fame.
- Interested candidates should submit a cover letter (addressed to the Director of Marketing), resume, and references.
- Cover letters should address the following:
- Explain why you are the ideal candidate for the College Football Hall of Fame by detailing relevant skills and prior work experience.
- Provide specific examples of how you have successfully applied your skillset to achieve goals.
- Describe how you would contribute to the Hall of Fame’s mission of celebrating and honoring the passions and traditions of college football and its greatest players and coaches.
- Cover letters should address the following:
- Compensation of $15.50 per hour.
- Flexible schedule designed to accommodate students.
- Hands-on experience in a fun, collaborative, and inclusive environment at the College Football Hall of Fame.
- Opportunity to attend meetings, industry events, and marketing activations, gaining valuable networking and professional development experience.
- This is a non-exempt, temporary position. Interns may also receive course credit depending on requirements. Interns are responsible for completing and submitting weekly timesheets and, if applicable, ensuring all credit requirements are submitted to their manager for proper earning and credit.
